  1. How do I apply for Read-only access through HealthLink Online?
    Visit the website http://www.healthlink.net/nhiservice.asp and submit the request.

  2. How long before I am able to access the NHI Numbers?
    The entire process can take up to 8 weeks to complete.

  3. Do I need a digital certificate?
    Yes you will need a Healthsecure certificate.

  4. What is the fee for this service?
    If you are already using HealthLink’s services then there is no extra fee. If you only want to use HealthLink for NHI Lookup then there is a monthly charge of $15.00.

  5. How will I know when this service is available for me to use? HealthLink will advise you by fax that NHI has been activated for your practice and will also send instructions on how to access the Lookup page.
