HealthLink has a long history of providing support for public healthcare initiatives. In addition to providing its services at no charge to not-for-profit institutions, HealthLink has provided financial support for a range of New Zealand and Australian healthcare charities. Over recent years, HealthLink has made its services available to government as part of its pandemic planning activities and stands ready to provide further assistance in the future.
Via the development of a charitable foundation, HealthLink is gearing up to use its systems to create some new and innovative services for the New Zealand public health system. If successful, these ‘Pro Bono’ services will be extended to Australia and Canada. We are planning to offer services that will enable healthcare authorities to increase the effectiveness of the country’s disease surveillance capacity. We have additional plans to provide high-level analytical capabilities with the objective of helping healthcare regions to optimise their allocation of healthcare resources.
